At least 2 dead and 11 hurt in Strasbourg Christmas market shooting

At least two persons have been killed and 11 hurt after gunshots were fired on Tuesday evening in the center of Strasbourg (France) according to local authorities.
The gunman opened fire in the very center of the Alsacian city, in the streets surrounding its well-known Christmas market. French Interior ministry Christophe Castaner confirmed “a severe incident” with “several life threatening injuries”, but the precise unfolding of events remains currently unknown.
Police say the suspect has been identified but remains at large. The antiterrorism Prosecution has been entrusted with the investigation.
